Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center

A treasure of West Virginia, Mountain Stage is the home of live music on public radio. Produced by West Virginia Public Broadcasting and distributed by NPR Music, each two-hour episode of Mountain Stage can be heard every week on nearly 270 stations across America, and around the world via NPR Music and mountainstage.org.

Recorded in front of a live audience and hosted by WV native and Grammy®-winning performer Kathy Mattea, Mountain Stage features performances from seasoned legends and emerging stars in genres ranging from folk, blues, and country to indie rock, synth pop, world music, alternative, and beyond.

Mick Flannery is an award-winning, double-platinum-selling Irish singer-songwriter whose acclaimed career includes seven studio albums, multiple No. 1 releases, and a reputation for exceptional storytelling. In 2026, he expanded his artistic vision with The House Must Win, a sold-out stage musical and companion album featuring acclaimed collaborators, marking one of his most ambitious projects to date.

Chris Pierce is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter whose soulful blend of folk, blues, and Americana has earned widespread recognition for its powerful storytelling and emotional depth. From touring with artists like Neil Young and B.B. King to his Billboard No. 1 hit featured on This is Us, Pierce continues to inspire audiences with heartfelt performances and his 2026 album, Songs for the Heavy Hearted.

Ryan Montbleau has spent the better part of thirty years cultivating a devoted audience on the strength of his ecstatic live shows and exhilarating sonic versatility. He’s collaborated with artists as diverse as Trombone Shorty and Galactic; shared bills with the likes of Tedeschi Trucks Band and Mavis Staples; and racked up more than 150 million streams on Spotify alone.

Mama’s Broke is the award-winning Canadian duo of Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria, blending folk traditions from Appalachia, Quebec, Ireland, the Balkans, and beyond into a powerful sound driven by soaring harmonies, fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Following their JUNO-nominated album Narrow Line, the duo returns with their 2026 release Reunion, continuing to captivate audiences across North America and Europe with emotionally rich songs and electrifying live performances.

Brad Goodall is a singer/songwriter/pianist delivering new songs inspired by where he grew up and why he’s still here. His 1970’s piano riffs give way to heartland-inspired lyrics, performed live with a jammer’s spirit
