Where are Marshall Artists Series performances held?
Most Marshall Artists Series events take place at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center, located on the campus of Marshall University along 5th Avenue between Hal Greer Boulevard and 17th Street, directly across from Marshall University’s Memorial Student Center.

Where should I park?
A public parking garage is located adjacent to the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center and offers convenient access to the venue.
Please note: Parking garage payment is cash only. Guests are encouraged to plan accordingly before arriving.
Please allow extra travel time on event nights due to traffic and parking demand.
How do Marshall University students claim tickets?
Marshall University students receive FREE admission to most Marshall Artists Series performances.
Student tickets are available only through the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center Box Office.
Students must present a valid Marshall University ID to receive a ticket. A student may also present one additional valid Marshall University ID to pick up a ticket for another Marshall student.
Guests who are not Marshall University students may purchase tickets at the current retail price at the time tickets are picked up, subject to availability.
Please Note:
- A valid Marshall University ID is required to claim a student ticket.
- Marshall University student IDs must be presented along with the ticket for admission to the performance.
- One student may pick up tickets for one additional Marshall student by presenting both valid student IDs.

How can I purchase tickets?
Marshall Artists Series tickets are available through Ticketmaster, the official and verified ticketing provider for Marshall Artists Series events.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.com, by phone at (304) 696-6656, or in person at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center Box Office during regular business hours.
If tickets remain available, they may also be purchased at the venue beginning one hour prior to the performance.
What tickets are accepted for admission?
Marshall Artists Series accepts only official Ticketmaster-issued tickets for admission.
To help protect guests from fraud and unauthorized resellers, tickets purchased through unofficial third-party websites, marketplaces, or individuals cannot be verified by Marshall Artists Series.
Please Note:
- Ticketmaster is the official and verified ticketing provider for Marshall Artists Series events.
- Every guest must present a valid physical ticket for admission.
- Mobile tickets, digital ticket screenshots, print-at-home tickets, photocopies, and reproduced tickets are not accepted.
- Guests without a valid physical ticket will not be admitted.
For the best and most secure ticket-buying experience, purchase tickets directly through Ticketmaster or the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center Box Office.
Should I bring cash?
Please note that ATM services are not available inside the venue. Guests should plan accordingly before arriving.
Major credit and debit cards are accepted for most venue purchases. Parking garage payment is cash only.
Plan Before You Arrive
Beverages are available for purchase inside the venue. Food service is not available.
Guests wishing to dine before the performance are encouraged to visit one of the many restaurants located throughout the Huntington area before arrival.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the venue.
Plan for a Smooth Arrival
For the safety and comfort of all guests, security screening is required for entry into the venue. All bags, purses, backpacks, and personal items are subject to inspection.
To help expedite entry, guests are encouraged to bring only essential personal items and travel light whenever possible.
We encourage guests to arrive early to allow time for parking, security screening, ticket validation, and seating before the performance begins.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- Firearms and weapons of any kind
- Dangerous materials
- Professional cameras and recording equipment
- Action cameras, tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks
- Outside food and beverages
- Any item deemed unsafe or disruptive by venue management
Guests with prohibited items may be denied entry until such items are removed from the premises.
Event Photography Policy
To ensure the best possible experience for all guests and to comply with artists requirements, photography, video recording, livestreaming, and audio recording may be restricted during performances.
Professional cameras, action cameras, recording equipment, selfie sticks, tripods, and other devices used for unauthorized recording are not permitted unless specifically approved for the event.
Event-specific policies may vary. Please check your event details before arrival.
When should I arrive?
Doors generally open one hour before showtime. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the scheduled performance to allow time for parking, security screening, ticket scanning, and seating.
Late seating may be delayed until an appropriate break in the performance.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center is fully accessible and offers accommodations designed to make your visit comfortable and convenient.
Accessible seating is available throughout the venue. An elevator is available for guests requiring easy access to both Orchestra and Balcony seating levels.
Guests who require accessible seating or additional accommodations are encouraged to contact the Box Office in advance to ensure the best possible experience.

What happens if there is severe weather?
Marshall Artists Series performances are generally presented as scheduled.
Should weather or other unforeseen circumstances impact a performance, updates will be communicated through the Marshall Artists Series website, social media channels, and, when applicable, directly to ticket holders.
